Aman Haidari – President Baran Foundation

I know the Najwa-e-Qalam Educational and Social Association as an active cultural and social institution that seeks to create opportunities for the intellectual and social development of young people through education, awareness, and culture. My impression of the Association’s activities is positive because Najwa-e-Qalam has not limited its work to a single field. Instead, it has responded to the needs of society through activities in education, reading, culture, science, and social engagement. In today’s circumstances, the presence of such an association is particularly valuable, as society needs awareness, empathy, dialogue, and the responsible participation of young people more than ever.

In my view, Najwa-e-Qalam’s efforts to promote reading and education and to organize cultural and social programs have had a positive and valuable impact on society and the younger generation. Reading and education are not merely means of gaining knowledge; they provide a foundation for developing critical thinking, awareness, and analytical skills. By encouraging young people to read, engage in dialogue, and participate in constructive cultural activities, the Association helps them better understand their role and responsibilities in society. Its cultural and social programs also bring young people closer together and strengthen a spirit of cooperation, solidarity, and social responsibility. These activities can contribute to nurturing a generation that is informed, well-read, independent in thought, and committed to the future of society.

Najwa-e-Qalam can also play an important role as a bridge connecting young people, academics, culture, and the wider community. Its importance becomes even greater when it brings together talented and motivated young people and provides them with opportunities to learn, express their views, exchange ideas, and participate actively in society. In a society where young people face numerous challenges and uncertainties, a healthy and independent cultural and social institution can provide them with a positive path forward. In my view, Najwa-e-Qalam’s position should be built on trust, integrity, knowledge, impartiality, and service to society, because the greatest asset of any social association is the trust of the people, particularly the younger generation.

Looking ahead, Najwa-e-Qalam should continue its successful activities while paying close attention to the changing needs of young people and society. Regular reading programs, academic sessions, training courses, and initiatives to strengthen young people’s intellectual, writing, and public-speaking skills can be particularly effective. The Association should also identify and support talented young people and create greater opportunities for their active participation. At the social level, greater attention to solidarity, dialogue, social responsibility, and connections between young people and academic and cultural figures can further strengthen its impact.

I wish Najwa-e-Qalam continued success in its educational, cultural, and social mission.

Since 2015, Najwa-e-Qalam has worked to unlock the potential of young minds through storytelling, education, and social action.
